does anyone find it odd that lemons/grapefruits can administer you thrush?

like wtf? i squeeze grapefruits or lemons first thing every morning... cos the acid burns the antiquated leftover crap in you stomach. and i like grapefruit/lemon liquid. but like theres a downside to it! anyone know what to eat on top of the liquid that can prevent thrush?
