I am planning on buying Nytol over the counter to help me sleep. I haven't slept properly for a couple of days, A few hours here and there.1)Will this help me achieve a good long sleep. Say 8 hours or more?2)And is it just like a sleeping pill that knock you out?3) And can you take it at any time of the day or night to sleep? THank you
Best Answer: It really depends. Nytol (diphenhydramine) is an antihistamine that have a side effect of sleepiness. Some people do well on it but for the most part it is not the best drug to bear. More often than not it has a 'hangover' effect that can last for much of the subsequent day. Many people find it to be ineffective and often enjoy side effects such as being tired but, for some, not able to sleep. It is typically not the sort of drug that 'knocks you out.' Typically in that is sort of an uncomfortable sedative quality but it does support you sleep. You can take the drug any time. If a person has an allergic hypersensitivity (the primary and original use) they will probably take 25mg-50mg (max 100mg) and this can be at any time. The drug can be taken 4 times daily. Basically drug companies simply repackaged a drug that has a side effect that can help people sleep. If you do bring it nightly for more than a few days you should see a doctor so they can give proper treatment according to your situation. But I really recommend you see a doctor and not take the Nytol. But it certainly will not hurt you.

Can you please back me out in the...
I'm sure Nytol works differently for different ancestors, but it didn't particularly help me. It didn't hurt me, either. I slept exactly like peas in a pod. If you're suffering from insomnia, though, I would suggest natural remedies. A glass of warm milk partially an hour before bed. If that doesn't work, look for valerian root pills. Health food stores and most groceries stock it. They smell like feet, but knock you out surrounded by minutes. Good luckHow do I gain better within 18 hours?
