A little jittery from taking SAM-e, can I filch valerian/Valium?
I started taking SAM-e about a week ago, for major depression that I've had for in the order of 10 years now and I'm against antidepressants, so I tried that. It actually already started working and my energy level are definitely up, as well as my mood. A little calmer, for a moment more balanced, less stressed... all to be precise great but it makes me a little jittery, like coffee sort of. I don't drink coffee by the road.
So I was wondering if anyone knew if it's safe to thieve valerian with it? And if that's ok, then in worst overnight case scenario, is it ok to take Valium or a benzodiazepine of any sort with it? I don't know if it would interact with it, they do enjoy different mechanisms of action and act divergent one another. I don't really have an anxiety disorder but I have other stress related problems that I've taken benzos for before (and I approaching to try to avoid them at all cost but sometimes it's impossible, if I can't calm down and sleep etc... I take them fundamentally rarely, once or twice a month and only in extreme cases).
Anyone hold any information that could help? Thank you!
Best Answer: You should take one or the other to be safe. SAM-e didn't work for me as in good health as Klonopin, Lorazepam, or Valium did.
