Answers:    Ultram is NOT a narcotic, but a strong anti-inflammatory, pain reliever. It is prescription only, for a plea. Just plain old Motrin, Ibuprofen.will give you impossible to tell apart results. Tramadol, generic Ultram, is 50MG. Ibuprofen OTC is 200MGs. Motrin prescription strength is 400, 600, or 800MG.

You can take 2, 3, or 4 Motrin 200MG OTC, and it will be the same as the prescription strength. Always start next to just one. See if that is ample to help your pain.
