Homeopathy mother tincture alcohol?

For making mother tinctures/potencies we have to add 30% alcohol & 70 %water & put it surrounded by a place for 2-4 weeks, succuss daily.
Is that right?
the water is distilled hose from medical shops.
alcohol is used for preservative.
What is the alcohol called, is that vodka,brandy or whiskey.
From where we can buy it.
I want to know the label, so that i can ask in a shop.

Answers:    its grain alcohol but brandy works in good health. if people dont want to take alcohol surrounded by medicine then freshly put medicine in warm/hot river and the alcohol dissipates
