Answers: I was helped out profusely by a chiropractor after a head-on car crash. My body's skeleton was crooked and severely altered, but as some answers say-so, some chiropractors are just looking to make a rapid dollar, but the REAL ones are into it to help people beside pain.
Mine helped me out profoundly with the intense pain, and my insurance (automobile) covered adjectives of it ($15,000) during the 3 years I went.
I also went recently- more or less 3 months ago, and tried Accupuncture. I think for me the chiropractic adjustments help more than the accupuncture did.
I don't know anything about schools, but chiropractic services are indeed becoming MORE permitted here in the States, especially with the use of fresh tables that move and adjust the spine, etc. It is a big part of the medical community, however, newly like doctors, one needs to go and get a 2nd opinion sometimes, and if you're having a problem near a chiropractor, go someplace else. Another will have a better set of values and will pinch better care.
It is seen by tons in the medical community as somewhat of a wast of money but it is getting better press in this day and age. Some doctors say there are benefits to chiropractic use. I hold never been to one myself but know people who own gone and they seem to like it. I do know that chiropractors do and hold been known to do things that wreak more harm than good so one wants to find one with a very flawless reputation. It is well known. In my personal belief, they used to be very good but I guess now money is getting in to their head. When you go to a Chiropractor it seems that they want you to breed several appointments before looking into your real problem.
Otherwise, I feel they are okay except the fact that school of chiropractic is asking too much money $130.000 to graduate.
