My braces are giving me sores on the inside of my mouth?
I have had my braces for a year and a half and a few night ago I started getting little sores and cuts on the inside of my lower lips. I didn't go to the orthodontist recently he give me this orogel but I don't like the numbness. How do I make them go away.
Best Answer: Is nearby something poking or rubbing on the inside of your lip that is causing them? Sometimes they put on a steel tie and it sticks up a little and that may be cause the irritation. First off, put orthodontic wax over the area if it is rubbing. This will just deed like a bumper and help keep anything from poking/rubbing. Secondly, one of the best things to do is to do heat salt water rinses. This will clear any bacteria contained by the area. You should do this a couple times a day, I would also call your orthodontist and gain in for just a quick check to see what the mete out is. They should be able to fix whatever the problem is and give you more proposal to their usual procedures. Good luck to you!
