17 years outdated & a HUGH PROBLEM!!?
I am only 17. The dentist I am kinda going to messed up my tooth big time. put a medicated filling in the tooth at the rear the right fang and when he got it out, he took off part of a set of my fang. I mean it wasn't all at hand in the first place because I chipped it eating pretzels, How you ask? I have NO perception.
Well it comes down to this now.
either get 6 crowns on my front teeth for $700 for a tooth, I'm double insured and primary insurance is paying so much and still a total 1600 something.
My ask for you is Should I get the crowns or just get adjectives my teeth pulled and get false teeth?
I mean seriously all my teeth are chipping, discolored and driving me nuts. Only problem is that I'm just 17 and don't want to have to wait for the dentures for so many days. Like I want to carry all my teeth pulled at once and have the dentures already made and everything till I heal.
BTW, my grandma wen to like dentist. Had crowns done and within a few weeks later she had to bring all her teeth pulled.
This dentist I've been going to isn't gentle or anything, doesn't meticulousness if it hurts, you have to kinda whine at him just for him to stop so you can say something. He doesn't safekeeping how you are or if any other tooth is bothering you. If they have it wrote down that they are working on a certain tooth, that's what they do and don't care roughly speaking anything else.

But I can't talk to my parents about it because they keep relating me that its my mouth, my decision. My dad tells me to get false teeth, and my mom say that its up to me. My sisters don't care. and my grandparents keep telling me to look more into it..
I'm individual 17. I can't make a decision like this on my own.
I live within a little town. not many dentist around here and my mom works from 5am-3pm and most dentist office's close around 4pm.
And the pain doesn't bother me.. I have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed only took similar to 7 pain pills, had 1 other tooth removed and only took 1 misery pill. Had my gall bladder removed and only took 3 pain pills...
Trust me, I CAN HANDLE PAIN.
I HATE DENTIST. VERY VERY IMPATIENT WHEN IT COMES TO THEM WORKING ON MY TEETH... AND MY INSURANCE HASN'T PAID THEM. THEY DONE THE PREOTHERIZATIN THINGY.

If you don't like or trust your dentist and are unable to hold a good honest conversation with them, then budge see another dentist! Getting false teeth will only multiply your problems! False teeth need to get in step, you'll get constant sores in your mouth, you won't be able to morsel your food as well, you will need new ones made every few years, you'll never know how to eat corn on the cob, or bite into an apple, or eat anything hard or chewy, you will wear down the bone underneath the false teeth (because physical teeth support and maintain the bone) which will make your mouth and face look frail and wrinkled when you remove your false teeth, etc. I'm sorry that you don't like the dentist you're seeing and that you need so much dental work, but that shouldn't push you into making the wrong decision that will impact you for the rest of your time. You've had cavities and other problems in your mouth for months, I don`t know years - so don't go expecting a quick fix. These things take time to do right and you necessitate to be patient. At least the dentist is not taking years to fix your teeth working on each one a bit bit each day - the way your cavity have grown and teeth have chipped. And stop blaming the dentist for everything. Take some personal responsiblity for the state that your mouth is in. After adjectives, it wasn't the dentist who put the cavities there in the first place, nor did he shove food contained by your mouth that chipped your teeth. Start taking care of the teeth you have by maintaining them next to good oral hygiene and regular dental checkups (after getting these problems fixed up of course).

Wow hun you have a great deal on your plate right now. Honestly he is a bad dentist sorry to say. I used to work as a dental assistant and that dentist seem to be just like him. He needs to find another profession anywayif the crowns are done right he won't call for to pull teeth . I think as long as you have tooth fabric it can be done . I have a tooth that had a big hole in it and it chipped twice I have barely any tooth left and I got a crown and it have been 3 years it still is good no problems. A dentist will need to build up tooth textile by using a post it looks like a screw and he'll put cream material that will harden. And thieve measurements for the crown. I think getting them all pulled is unecesary as that they are not rooten or loose . If its chipped the teeth can be saved. Dentures are a cramp you have to wait weeks because of the process it takes you involve to keep going back for measurements and it is sent to lab back and forth until it is finished . After it is finished it desires to be ajusted to be comfortable in your mouth it is painful on the gums till you get used to it.its not as confident as it sounds. Think about it have them expalin the process to you. Btw if you start the crown or denture treament there you enjoy to stay there is your insurance pays them so think .
