Will i speak beside a lisp if i grasp braces?
I had my dentist check up today, and it turns out i might have to get braces, will i speak funny near braces. I already know all the other questions i may need for braces cuz i already looked at abundantly of questions but i coudn't find this, am i gonna sound strange?
Best Answer: No. I had braces for 2 1/2 years and I spoke fine. It doesnt affect how you speak. However when I get my retainer I had a false tooth attached and then it eventually got removed close to 3 months later. So my retainer has a hole in it and that cause me to have a lisp although I only wear it at night. However when you first find braces it might be difficult to eat. I always felt that the braces be like blocking the food going into my mouth for a few weeks. Then I was fine
Answer: No, I have braces and you really don't nouns any different as you would with an expander or retainer. It's really not that bad.
