Why are my gums bleeding after i floss?
they appear to be swollen also any tips?
Best Answer: how long has it been since your last cleaning? you could own some gingivitious or the beginnings of periodontal disease. see your hygenist and have a cleaning done. the bleeding is caused from bacteria that is to say trapped below the gumline, if it is not cleaned regulary it can build up and cause major problems. try using a water pic at home between professional cleanings, they are great at keeping microbes from building up below the gumline where you can't reach with a toothbrush or floss.
