(Question for dentists) I want to become a dentist but im not sure if Im right for it?

I really like to be a dentist but the only thing is that Im deeply squirmish when it comes to looking at cutting of human flesh. does dentist work require a lot of cutting of the gum ? if so how much ? any specialty that deal with less blood and cutting. can dentists be trained to return with over such a thing and get used to them ?
Best Answer: Almost always any squeamishness go away when you start doing procedures. Don't let the sight of blood or giving injections or anything surgically involved stop you. Go for it

Tips/Tricks to facilitate STOP thumb sucking!?

I'm not a dentist, but there will be a time when you'll see and concordat with blood. If you go into general dentistry, you'll probably see blood on a day after day basis as dentists perform extractions, which tend to be slightly bloody. Now, Orthodontics doesn't deal near much, if any blood at all. You may want to look into that instead. I'd recommend going for assisting and seeing if it's something you can handle, if so, go better up!
