What is th FULL procedure of getting braces?

Best Answer: I just get my bottom braces 3 days ago..so here we go. 1.) You go to the orthodontist's office. On the first stop by, they talk about your treatment options, and narrate you what is going to happen. 2.)During this same visit, they may take x-rays of your mouth and teeth. 3.) On either the first or second visit, they make a molding of your mouth. They put a gluey pink paste in your mouth, then it harden and they pull it out. None of this hurts so far. 4.)Next, if all is well, the orthodontist will put little rings between your stern molars. Those are spacers. And i warn you, they are painful for a few days. 5.)Depending on how spaced out your teeth already are, (and how booked the office is)you could enjoy them in anywhere from 1 week to a few months..i had mine from april 30-june 6 6.) At the visit that they pilfer the spacers out, they put the braces on. This includes: 1.) they brush your teeth with a sand-like toothpaste 2.) they paint a yucky-tasting liquid on your teeth, 3.) they cement the brackets on. 4.) they put archwires on (the little colored things) 5.) they feed the flex through and clip it 7.) IT IS very sore for a few days. 8.) Thats all i know for now...I single have my bottoms,,i am getting my tops on june 18th.

Okay, First I got a regular expander, not a palette expander, an expander. It hurt at first, I had it for 6 months. Then, I get a top hawley retainer and a bottom retainer for a year, it didn't hurt at all.
