After you acquire teeth extracted?
Okay I got two teeth (right next to each other) extracted 2 days ago very soon and my gums where the teeth were extracted is sore/hurts I am just wondering if to be exact normal and about how long it should last. I own gotten lots of other teeth extracted before but its never been sore after wards. But the one tooth i did achieve extracted this time did have a curve in the roots so maybe that could be why it hurts this time?
I hold taken proper care of it so i don't think it is a dry socket and i have have 2 teeth extracted right next to each other before too. So after how long should i be in motion back to the dentist and check to make sure it is okay? I know you people aren't experts or anything and can't report to me if there is or isn't anything wrong but just wondering if maybe your extraction site have been sore before!!
Well thanks surrounded by advance for any information you got!!
I have be rinsing my mouth out with salt and water since yesterday (after 24 hours of have it pulled) and i have been taking advil which has taken the sorness away until it wares rotten!
Also i know when i got my last teeth pulled my dentist then told me it might be sore and give me a prescription for pain killers which i never ended up getting packed i only took advil the first night ( before the freezing come out and than 4hours after that)
Thanks everyone for the advice my sorness isn't that bad now it have pretty much gone away :)
Best Answer: I am well known to root canals and extraction, including one dry socket. Some hurt more than others--extractions that is--and you have 2 done, in the same area, so the gums are sore as heck and obligation time to adjust to the changes. I used pain killers--a half a pill and an advil for inflammation. Tylenol does subsequent to nothing for dental pain--but Advil does. You can take up to 800 milligrams which is 4 tablets of Advil. I would go next to 2 tablets, maybe 3--and make sure you have some milk, bread, crackers, something to flash your stomach--as advil can be hard on the stomach. If you had dry socket, you'd be in excruciating discomfort and advil would not even touch it. The oral surgeon had me come back a week later, after my final ezxtraction. years ago, another dentist didn't have me come back at all. best wishes to you.
Lots of dental treatments over former times 20 years.

My friend have unpromising breath..?
I had a tooth extracted before, and all I can inform you is it will be swollen and sore for quiet awhile.MIne even bled for about 3 weeks after the extraction. Best thing is thaw salt water, but do not over do it, because it can prolong healing, and also I bought at this little condition food store little oak wood chips that you mix with hot water and then gargle, and they are specified to calm down swelling and promote healing...So that also helps plentifully...I newly bit my lip impossible when intake.
PLEASE stop taking ADVIL! The best OTC pain reliever for an extraction is Tylenol because Advil is Anti-clotting and if the clot doesn't develop, that can lead to Dry Socket. I just get my 4 wisdom teeth pulled (stupid ARMY) so I asked the dentist EVERYTHING. My advice is to use a moist tea bag wrapped contained by gauze to aid in clotting the area (the Tannic Acid will help clot it up) and to get hold of that prescription filled.
