Questions nearly braces, I obtain them tomorrow!?
Ugh yes, the day has come. Braces. Tomorrow. D:
But I sorta know what's going on and stuff, I just hold some easy basic questions.
BASED ON YOUR EXPIERENCE:
1. How long do they run to put on? I've heard everywhere from 20 mins to an hour. Like how long did YOURS take?
2. How long after the braces are put on does it start to hurt?
3. How long should it hurt for, and which are the worst days?
4. How often will I stop by the dentist?
5. Do all braces get the colored bands/elastics?
6. On a scale of 1-10 how much did YOURS hurt?
7. Lastly, my teeth are crooked, but they dont enjoy gaps, and it looks like braces would fit really awkwardly on them. Cause like my front teeth are crowded so they pushed together outward forming a ^ or a v, anything. But like, how would they connect, are the wires like, very flexible or something?
I'm 13 btw, and so stoked on have straight teeth, I have them on for a year and a half.
Any other tips are GREATLY appreciated and may get you best answer. :D Provide adjectives information you knoooooww! And your experiences!
Best Answer: 1. takes about an hour from the time you get at hand until the time you leave. 2. around an hour. Suggestion - take advil before you walk 3. The day after you get them they really hurt when you wake up, but approaching I suggested before take advil to relieve that. Also, it hurts the day after you gain you braces adjusted every month. Some months will be ok and others will be bad. 4. I went once a month to achieve checked and the bands changed. 5. You can choose what color you want. It can be silver or clear like the braces or they can be colorful. 6. Scale of 1-10 for pain - I would vote like a 5. (Again the advil will help) 7. The wires are flexible. They will get them to work. Just another tip...don't worry going on for it. take some kind of pain reliever resembling advil before you go. It really helps! Hope you luck next to your new braces - oh by the way - when you get your retainer after the braces are bad make sure you wear it because you run the risk of having to get braces again.

I'm outdated and can't remember it well enough to answer all those question but I wanted to say - if you grind your teeth while you sleep, you should mention that to the dentist/orthodonist or whoever. When I had braces and my teeth be sore right after tightening them, I'd wake up in the night surrounded by pain like 11 on a scale of 1-10 cramp from grinding my sore teeth together as hard as I could in my sleep.
