spacers question... i'm really confused!?
My orthodonist never said anything about spacers for me getting braces.. whether i needed them or not.. the first appointement we had the consiltation and the second we did moldings,x-rays and pictures. And i'm about to travel for my 3rd appointment in 10 days. he never told me what they are doing so i'm curious...
1.do you think i need spacers if he didn't influence anything about them??
2. what will i do at my next appointment (3rd)??

Best Answer: Most likely you will seize spacers, even if he didn't mention them. All they do is make a little bit of space between your teeth so that the orthodontist can put the back braces on your teeth (the ones that turn around the whole tooth). However, if you are curious about what is going on, just ask your ortho, he'll probably be festive to explain what he's doing and why.
