Am I too matured to grasp braces?I'm 17?
Well, i have very crooked teeth, and I'm impressively self-conscious when I'm around people. It sucks real desperate that I can't laugh the right way when someone say something funny, I usually just cover my mouth and laugh. When I be younger, it didn't really bother me much. But now, I am about to be a senior contained by high school, and I want to own at least semi-straight teeth before I graduate. It's really starting to affect my self confidence and self portrait. Is anyone in the position that I'm in right presently? If I get them now, will they be straighter by the time I graduate which is surrounded by June 2009? Please help...
Answers: I know how you feel. I get my braces when I was seventeen and a junior in high-ranking school. The orthodontist was great contained by moving the process along quickly. Very painful but it be well worth it. I had them sour when I turned 18 and was a senior. It was the best item I did for myself at that time. It really helps your self esteem. Good luck and go for it!
Honestly, braces at 17 is not wonderful, but if you really want good teeth, it's better to get them at 17 next like 22 or something.
If like NOBODY else your age have braces and you don't want to look nerdy, I suggest Invisalign, which are like invisible removable braces. Unfortunately, they cost a lot more. Ask your dentist/orthodontist
near is never a too old for braces. many adults own them. and many adults and younger people look upright in them. i know how you feel. my teeth be crooked before i had my braces. ive have them off for about 6months in a minute. i bet that if you get braces now, your teeth will be semi-straight by june 2009. BUT you will still hold the braces on. so semi-straight teeth with braces. or crooked without? if i be you i would go for the braces. i know that they have drastically changed my go. i dont have any regrets with my verdict to get them. good luck! its never too belated to gt braces.. now the time period that you are going to enjoy with braces determines how crooked your teeth are.. the dentist will have to determine that
You're not too outmoded, I know adults who have them. I can't say for sure if they'll be straight by the call a halt of next year. Your orthodontist would be the person to ask roughly that.

no, ur not too old to get braces. u can other get those invisible kind if ur self conscious just about ur appearance. and braces don't always make sum1 uglier. Never to behind the times to hve a pretty smile good luck
