Are plastic back smaller amount likley to effect your teeth near a labret piercing?

i just got mine pierced but am really worried something like it effecting my gums. the piercer put an acrylic back, is that better and less predictable to effect my gums and teeth??

Answers:    it shouldnt be as bad as metal for sure. but it still might irritate your gums.
