Getting braces tomorrow morning=/?
i know there are already a lot of question to do with braces on here...i just sort of want to capture my own opinions..
i have to bring back an expander on tomorrow as well i think, but is that going to be on at equal time as my braces, or just the bottom? also, how long does the whole process of putting them on hold? how long afterwards will it hurt? also i heard the glue taste really badd..is it worse than getting an impression because i almost threw up when i had those.
Answers: some of your question I can answer from my own experience. putting the braces on isn't bad, but the stuff they wipe on your teeth first before they place the brackets is doomed to failure, sour & bitter at the same time. Not as bad as the depression, though. After having the braces put on your teeth will hurt about a week, after each time they tighten them they will hurt 3-5 days. For the first few weeks the insides of your mouth will hurt from rubbing against the brackets/braces, etc. That part will stir away, as the insides of your cheeks "toughen up". Motrin (ibuprofen) is good for the pain, and you can swish and spit Chloroseptic throat spray to numb the inside of your mouth.
the full thing took about an hour, hour 1/2 for me and they didnt hurt until that hours of darkness. yes the glue tastes resembling, for lack of a better term sh*t. newly get (this worked well for me) sprite mixed beside lemonade either before and gather it or after and that will help with the savour. it made me gag, but i actually liked getting the impressions i thought it be kinda fun!

braces takes an hour or two..it wont really hurt the first afternoon...it just feels unusual. the second day it hurts really bad and you consistency it for like a few weeks just cuz ur getting used to them. the gum does taste bad but its not nearly as desperate as the impressiosn! dont worry.you will be fine

What toothpaste do you reccomend that have worked economically for you?
