Dental implant?

There really isn't an answer for you going on for the time it takes swelling to disappear. Some people take over it quickly and others seem to loiter. Your dentist or oral surgeon can only give you an estimation of the time it would rob. Perhaps your best bet would be to ask the dentist or oral surgeon what it is that you can do to speed up the healing process, for example, medications, rime packs (how long, etc.), rest, and so on.

Answers:    most dentists will not pull an abcessed tooth, they give you antibiotics to hold care of the abcess and then verbs the tooth.
the swelling from extraction can last up to a week, you can speed the process by appling an icepack to that side of your face for fifteen minutes every four hours or so.
