Having braces is really not that painful, I promise. It is in recent times achy, sort of like your mouth is bruised. I used to take closely of Ibuprofen. You could have your parents buy you some Orajel as well (it is within the toothpaste aisle), I found that helpful.

braces don't hurt too much, only the first few days next to them, because you have to get use to them, and when they return with tightened, about every month or so. but to relieve pain when they hurt bear some asprin and wait. i know that sounds terrible, but it's adjectives you can do. you can't really eat anything, even if it's soft like jell-o or pasta, it does hurt. you basically have to wait it out.

Also, braces are a great excuse to eat a bunch of rime cream (the cold helps) Hey don't stress about it! I was really worried when I first got them. Hmm.some tips could be to not eat any hard/chewy foods for a bit. Your teeth will surface "tender" for a bit so it will sting a little. Normally, they tell you if it hurts too much to ask if you can own a painkiller such as asprin or tylenol. Just relax and eat softer foods. The agony will go away very soon.
