Possible Abscess on 13 mth antediluvian son's tooth?

My 13 mth old son already has 9 teeth and 3 more coming surrounded by. However, I noticed today that he has a bit red bubble type bump on the top of his gum where the tooth is supposed to be. This has never happen with any of his other teeth. Should I take him to the doctor or dentist or lately not worry about it? It doesn't seem to be to be bothering him, he is acting and playing normally and is still eating but I'm for a while concerned because I've never seen this before. What should I do?

I be hit contained by the mouth next to a softball a week ago, my teeth hurt and are kinda loose, what is wrong beside them?

Answers:    Just relax...dont verbs..it appears just OK.
Please note that it does appear to be abscess ...from your description it appears that it is freshly eruption gingivitis..ie when a tooth erupts ,sometimes the overlying gum tissue gets inflammed ( swollen)..sometimes we see it in kids.
What to do for that ?..Please dont do anything..consent to him enjoy his acting and playing and enjoying his blissful days..Had in that been something abnormal he would enjoy complained to you about it ---about pain, give or take a few bleeding..So, just feel everything is OK..and God feeling like, within the next couple of days this swollen gum tissue will grant way to the pearly white tooth which you will see shining in his mouth.
That is where on earth Nature is taking care of us in so copious ways. Yes, plz if even after a couple of weeks...say 10-12 weeks, the tooth does not appear in the mouth and the swelling is persist, then you may plan a trip to your dentist just for a check-up..I trust you will not be required to dally so long !!.the tooth will come up soon !!
All the best to your dear son. Yes, plz continue with his oral hygiene regime as meticulously as you can. ...ie using little one brush for cleaning his teeth.
Yes, plz note that first visit to a dentsit have to be at the age of one year . Have you been to him ?

Alright i own a distance surrounded by my teeth?

A doctor once said to me "if mum is worried I worry, If grandma worriesI verbs alot"

if you are worried about anything with your child budge to the doctor, sometimes it's a problem they can fix and sometimes they just reassure you that everything is alright. It's never wrong to see your doctor about your child.

How antediluvian do you hold to be to buy Orajel??

Its call an "eruption cyst" nothing to worry, but if the child is self-conscious cos the opposite tooth bites on it or food especially hurts it , the dentist can easily remedy it for u, its a five minute point. One area of concern maybe although unlikely that the cyst may deferment the eruption of the tooth, for that I think its best to get a consultation. i would transport him to doctors office...sounds like an abscess they can be highly dangerous!
