Tell me for a while bit give or take a few braces..?

My daughter really wants to get some.
Admittedly, her teeth really do requirement some work.

How long are they on (on average)?
How much do they cost?
What are the drawbacks?
Is the end result worth it?

Jaw Joint prolems and Braces?!?

Answers:    2 years is average. The range given is typically 18-24 months but obviously may vary depending on how bad the teeth are.

$5,000 is average.

No drawbacks really. Pain and suffering unsurprisingly, but that's what wax is for. And pureed soup. One thing you might consider a drawback is that if the kid doesn't wear their retainer for the recommended period afterwards, their teeth will comparatively likely revert to some extent. Monthly visits for wire/ligature change.

Flossing is a pain - it's more like sewing - but they take home special floss or you can use floss threaders.

I do believe the end result is worth it. You have straight teeth! That's not lone a cosmetic benefit but it helps to keep teeth much cleaner too, especially if you're someone who's prone to plaque buildup.

My dentist freshly told me about a relatively new procedure that speeds things up reasonably a bit. They do surgery to loosen the gums or disconnect some of the tissues (something gruesome like that). Then they apply the braces. Apparently making the teeth looser causes them to align much more at full tilt. To me it sounded hideous, but my dentist had like a dental ** over it.

Invisalign - intuitively I would never do these. They're not do-able in all cases, plus you enjoy to take them out to eat. Which as a snacker would be going to they'd be out all the time! And the less you wear them the longer they pocket, and they apparently take longer anyway. Plus mush mouth.

Ceramic - you would get these on top lone. I did because I'm 42 and didn't want to do the metal mouth thing again. These can be pricier - I paid $400 more for them. They're slightly bigger and the techs other ** about it being harder to win the ligatures around them. Plus they're more likely to pop off (mine haven't yet), they may shatter on removal which money more cleanup detail, but I love them. They're not invisible but are much less noticeable. They're not so much bigger that my lip sticks out and they don't stain.

Much of what I intellectual applies to adults - like what color ligatures don't stain (light blue has worked especially well for me), plus a specific type of braces (Damon 3's) that are self-ligating so you don't have the stainable rubber band. These apparently work a little faster too, so I've heard.

I did own braces when I was around 8, which I think be much too early. I had a fixed retainer on my lower teeth until I be 18, but they gradually reverted to form so that by 38 or so, they had cause a problem with my bite which is why I'm sporting them again!

So if your daughter is that age, you might consider waiting until she's older.

Canker Sore...?

My daughter have them on for about two years. They were expensive, the cost vary but we were on a payment plan next to the orthodontist so it wasn't difficult to pay off. The drawbacks are few -- regular appointments must be kept. Sometimes in attendance is discomfort, but it's usually mild. Sticky food like certain candy can motive them to break, but that's easy to avoid. Other than that, the drawbacks are really very few. The winding up result was very worth it!

Edit: I should own mentioned that I had them as a teen too, so I speak from experience myself as well as one a parent of a child who had them. Definately go for it! :o)

If you enjoy cavity that are packed, will your teeth still fall over out rash, how long will they second?

resourcefully, i've had braces for about 2 years on the top and 1.5 years on the bottom.i should be getting them stale soon.
let me tell you, my teeth are much straighter, much, much straighter, but because you own to take VERY good fastidiousness of your teeth, i now have decalcification, which is where on earth my teeth are basiclly starting cavities. braces are also very PAINFUL, so that's not fun. after an adjustment, it can hurt awfully bad to eat. braces also cost a ton, but if you enjoy good insurance, it may help cover some of the cost. but it is worth it, merely make sure she takes VERY right care of her teeth when she gets them on. The average treatment is give or take a few 2 years...(my orthodontist)

About $200 per treatment (price vary depending on where you go)

The one and only negative thing something like it is that your teeth usually hurts when you go to get them tightened... and at this time you usually can"t devour hard foods..(well that is if you can't stand the pain)..I used to drink soup.but after a few treatments she will fine..(it doesn't hurt that much)...

I have braces, and I feel that it was worth every penny..I didn't own bad teeth but I needed a little work...I am really happy with the results..

As someone else mentioned, you really hold to take extra care of your teeth beside braces...and it's harder to take care of, because of adjectives the wires.Luckily I didn't get any discoloration or any cavities (she will enjoy to brush and floss more often because the food often attain stuck within the braces..but I do know someone who is not necessarily happy near the results (because of the cavities and white spots).the image below shows what her teeth looks resembling now...(hers is a little worst).

Braces...4 days! eek! im alarmed! Tips? What not to devour? HELP!?

Every child , if they inevitability braces should be allowed to get them. You have a daughter, surmise of her self esteem. Straight teeth , makes her smile better, makes her happier. Straight teeth, shows she take pride in her appearance...also once she is older, believe it or not, general public who want to employ her with look at her teeth, her smile.
Braces cost just about $3000...and usually worn about 2 years.

There are NO drawbacks to having braces... it open a future , that she might not have.

Why do I hold a harsh creamy hunch of plaque on the final of my tongue ? I am on a ridig dental practice?

Duration for which they are on vary from case to case.
Cost vary from area to area, from doctor to doctor...surrounded by India, it approx. costs about Rs. 20000/-.( twenty thousand rupees).
If done by a qualified orthodontist, just dont verbs about the drawbacks. Yes, Yes, of course, the completion result is definitely, and pleasantly worth.
Wishing you and your dear daughter all the tremendously best...just go ahead.

Are flippers hugely self-conscious? how long does it steal to win used to them, and do you EVER really get hold of used to

I have braces for 4 years my teeth were very unpromising. they cost about$3500-$6000 depending on where you live. orthodontists will set payment plans up for you. and I close-fisted liveable ones. Your childs smile is very important. The single draw back I can tell you is that when she 1st get them on it is a little bit uncomfortable. Other afterwards that i thank my parents for givving me a beautiful smile I paid merely $2000 for mine, which normally run around $5000. That is because of this great plan I have: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago presently and they have saved me thousands of $$$ for my inherited and myself. Not only orthodontics, but exams, cleanings, xrays...etc. All services are included in this severely affordable plan. They even had my benefits active surrounded by 2 hours and was able to use it the amazingly same day. I had them on for nearly 2 years. Depends on how out of line they are. Yeah and the end result is worth it, at a young at heart age I believe it will boost confidence for a young person. There will be some discomfort, but very well worth the end result. Good luck and hope this helps.
