What Else Could This Be? Dentists please lend a hand!?

My back molar next to my knowledge has been painful. The DDS says the wisdom is fine, and tooth does not want root canal. The extent of pain is not discouraging now... but enough to create concern. According to 2 dentists, the tooth next to the wisdom have normal cold response... but it is sore sometimes when I chew on gum. I am thinking I have something periodontal going on because of the desirability breaking through next to it. Although the wisdom is moderately out, cleaning back there may not hold been too good. I've really gotten better at cleaning it contained by the past few months, as well as rinsing next to peroxide, and it actually has gotten better. Dentists... what else could this be?

Answers:    Did the dentist check your bite on this molar? Perhaps you hold some interfering contacts and it is causing too much force on the wrong spot of your tooth.
Other things that I am sure the dentist would have checked are deterioration or fractured cusp syndrome.
Because it is sore when you are chewing gum, and that means when your teeth are grinding against each other, I would bet it is a discouraging contact.

How impossible of an overbite is this?
