What should i do just about my retainer?

well my retainer cracked and i don't know if i should tell my parents or not because i'm terrified they'll yell at me...and i did a good work and instead i get punished for it..what happened is a picked a pile of chicken bones on a plate stale the ground to throw away..it wasn't mine..and i put my retainers in my purse and when i picked up the plate they fell out...i didn;t notice they fell out until i needed to put them back on..i could't find them so retraced my steps.two days later i come stern to that location because it was a sautrday the day i lost it and here was a carnival at my school and that's be i picked up the plate .so it was a monday and i finally found it near a curb broken...so i thought to myself how i can i seize punished for a good deed??so if you can anwser that it would be great...and also should i report my parents because im scared they'll get barmy...they have already got alot on their mind??

Answers:    Hey sweetpea I lost my retainer once contained by the trash at school. I told my parents. they were nutty at first but i think they were competent to get some kind of insurance traffic on a new one. Just tell them exactly what you wrote here.

Retainers cost money! so don't be surprised if they holler a bit, just tell them very soon or wait for them to find out at next checkup! Yes, you did do a honourable dead but, isn't the retainer suppose to be in your mouth! report to your parents. You did a good deed so they shouldn't be that silly about it. they are going to find out sooner or later anyway.. best to speak about them now rather than then. And hey it's happened to A LOT of us so it's okay.. hope I helped

Honesty in this situation would probably be best. You're the kid in this situation, your parents' problems are their own and they should not purloin them out on you.
