What is a honest exercise and diet plan?

I'm 19 years old and I don't want to give up good penchant in foods. I'm a home cook and would rather have smaller portions of well-mannered food than bland tasteless meals as in other diet plans. I entail something to keep me motivated. I lose interest in things if they get boring. So a moral fun work out routine would be excellent. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would rather not use any sort of diet pills. Their expensive and they've never worked for me. Thanks anyways.
Best Answer: Like you said, portion control really is key! Eat a variety of foods, but do try to lean towards well again versions. Like instead of the full amount of sugar in a cake or cookie substitute apple sauce, or instead of eggs use 1 tbsp milled flax seed and 3 tbsp wet (there are lots of other healthy substitutes!). As a rule, NEVER overeat. But if you do don't panic. Just get right pay for on the straight and narrow path of not overeating. You're right, diet pills are dumb, don't use them. The fine print on most of them says the average party only lost 2-5 pounds WITH diet and exercise... that doesn't seem like a 'miracle' to me, I could do that minus spending money on pills. Not to mention most of them contain un-healthy ingredients and after you stop using them most people gain the weight back. Instead of diet pills try to incorporate more fruits and veggies (which can hold a lot of wonderful flavor if prepared correctly), and use whole grains instead of processed white ones. Like brown or undomesticated rice instead of white rice, whole-wheat bread/bagels/noodles, flax, oatmeal, quinoa, etc. Beans are also a wonderful and flavorful 'diet' food. They fill you up, taste good, and are perfect for you! Add them to breakfast burritos, soups and stews, crock pot recipes, meat dishes, as a side, on rice, with corn chips, or even eat them alone! Use smaller plates to sustain with smaller portions. Fill most of the plate up with veggies or fruits. Try eating a fluffy soup or a salad before a meal so you eat smaller amount. Another good trick is to eat 100 calories for every hour you're awake. That way you're never hungry and your metabolism stays up. So if you ate 140 calories one hour put away only 60 calories the next, etc. Or if that's not your style just drink 5 small meals a day so you stay full and feel contented all day long. Also, a good exercise plan help immensely! Start with just walking. Take a walk for 15-60 minutes a daytime. Aim to be more active surrounded by general. Ge off the couch or computer every hour to stretch and take a snatched walk (go outside, to the bathroom, get a drink of water, etc.) Take the stairs instead of elevator, do more housecleaning, garden, salsa to music, etc. I find that if you get bored easily then you should convert your routine weekly or even daily! It doesn't matter if it's the same every afternoon, you just have to be active! One light of day dance to music for as long as you can, the next day hold plank and do a wall-sit (where you sit against the wall and hold your arms out) both for as long as you can, the subsequent day go swimming, then move about for a walk to a new place, hike, skate, substance lift, try gym free-trials, get some new workout books or video from the library etc. You don't have to do the same routine day after time, you just have to be active.
