How low will it cart me to find biceps?
I'm a girl and I was wondering how long it would take to get biceps. I don't want bulky biceps, but more toned and sort of athletic muscles. So should I use smaller quantity weight with more reps? Thanks.
Best Answer: you already have biceps firstly, your biceps will never really attain 'bulky' like the professional bodybuilders your body just doesn't produce enough testosterone for you to build muscle to that extent, since you're a woman and adjectives so don't sweat it if you want stronger biceps, more tone that gives you a overall athletic appearance my suggestion to you would be to do pullups/chinups close grip chinups and normal grip chinups are good for your biceps and are a calisthenic exercise they are also awfully difficult to do and will strengthen your body nicely, similar to doing pushups but for your biceps and lats pull ups, believe it or not, are also a great way of strengthening your biceps lately the other day i was doing pullups and my biceps are so sore i can barely contract them this is because the biceps work as stabilizers while you verbs your body up, it works much the same way with pullups except that near pullups you are targeting your lats more than your biceps + pullups/chinups will strengthen your grip and forearms as well and stretch your spine which will improve your posture, I don`t know even make you grow taller i think it's really quite useless to train biceps next to dumbbells unless you want bulk, best thing to do for strength is just pullups/chinups you can strap some weight onto yourself while you do these if you want more of a rebel oh and btw, the first person who said more weight + less reps = more mass is wrong. it is true surrounded by a certain range of reps but it is not quite so more consignment = more strength for the most part no matter how many times you raise a pencil, you will gain no muscle or tone from that because it is simply too light for your muscles to be worked the heavier you go the more stimulus you put your muscles under (keeping within mind that your repetitions maintain proper form and a steady speed) strength/power gains = 3 - 5 repetitions of a weight (to failure), doing 3-5 reps of a unhealthy weight will not bulk you up, perhaps it would add some muscle but nowhere close bodybuilder range which you shouldn't be worried about in the first place, you're not a man you can't really build that much muscle surrounded by the first place weightlifting/bulking gains = 8-12 repetitions, again you shouldn't be worried about gaining muscle haha you really won't, it's particularly difficult to and requires much planning and effort, and hormones (which for the most part you lack) anything over 12 = mostly endurance anything over 12 which take forever for your muscles to feel = way too light for you
I work out a Lot.
Answer: Well, you've already get biceps. ;) So check that one off, second, as a basic rule the more weight you exercise beside the more you will bulk up because as you're tearing tissue when doing exercise and the extra weight will make you 'tear' more tissue from your muscles and so recovering with more scar tissue, so you'll bulk up. If you want to tone your muscles then you hold to exercise with less weight and do more repetitions whereas near more weight you would do less repetitions but the impact would be higher thus bulking you up. Either way you'll need to take more protein than usual within order to supply your muscles with the appropriate quantity. Less freight + more repetitions = toning More weight + less repetition = bulking Just remember not to over do it. Is this ample exercise for the daytime?
It should take one to two months. Yes, you should use less weight beside more reps, if you only want tone. Also, if you are not content with the results, try another body exercise, like bench press for the chest, again for toning. This will minister to tone your chest and shoulders, for that extra athletic look. Unless you are eating only lettuce everyday, do not bother with extra protein, as that opinion is an old wives tale.Related Questions...
