How can i loose chubby and gain muscle within 3 months?

I want to loose the fat around my stomach and gain strength in my upper body in the subsequent three months. Im 16, 5'9", and around 155 lbs. What can i eat? What exercises can i do(at home)? I already tried doing sit ups and crunches for like a month to see if it will work and it didn't. I just wanna loose some cooking oil before school starts again. Please help. I forgot to say aloud i'm vegetarian. I even have Wii Fit :)
