13 year dated requests excersize aid??

Im a 13 year old female
i mass 103lbs
and i want to tone my stomach
what are some ways i can do this at home && when i go to golds gym with my mom??
i dont want to over do it or anything
basically slowly
i also want to tone my thighs
my mom has a stair stepper will that help??
how several should i do per day??
any other workout help would be exceptionally very helpful

Answers:    leg lift, squats, and lounges, for thighs ( and weight machiens at the gym will tell u wat they work on) and for ur tummy crunches and stuff

Its great that you want to work out. Don't obsess over your body though, remember at your age your body is going through change.

Do you participate in any sports? Its a great method to get fit and 'toned' and at the same time hold fun doing it. and you are also meeting new family and making friends.

Squats and lunges are an excellent exercise for not only your legs, but your core strength (abs and lower back). No need to pull heavy weights (there is controversy regarding children lifting weights), as the previous poster wrote: lighter weights and high reps. That is, aim for about 12-15 reps.
Start off only with your body weight.aim for give or take a few 3-4 sets of 15 reps. Go all the way down when you squat (not purely half way). When you are comfortable, slowly add cargo..and go for about 3 sets of 12 reps.
Some abs exercises: crunches or sit ups, leg raise, there are so many exercises.
Have you considered doing a warring art? Martial arts classes are a great way to get fit and strong, own fun, and learn valuable natural life skills at the same time (that depends on the teacher though).

i utter it summer go swimming and have funn.. does wonders on your legs :]
