atkins diet. I did it back and I'm doing it again.?

I lost a whole lot of wight the first time i did atkins and gained it all wager on plus some in a matter of 2 years... in total i gain 90 lbs in two years..I am doing the atkins again for a month because its a fast way to looses solidity.. then after a month i will be doing weight watchers..The first time i did the atkins in the first two weeks i lost at least possible 15 lbs.. I am almost done with my second week in the first stage of atkins and i have solitary lost 4, which im sure is water weight.. Whats going on? I'm exercising also which i did not do the first time i did atkins.. whats going on..
Best Answer: hmmm, first things first.weight watchers, atkins, south coast, body for life etc etc, are all designed to be lifelong ways of eating... granted, as you arrive at your goal weight, you can be more liberal as to what you eat, but if you budge off any of them, you will regain the weight. I lost 50 lbs with Atkins 5 yrs ago and hold not gained a lb back because I monitor my carb intake and watch the extent on a regular basis. Having said that... There are a dozen reasons you could be experiencing slow weight loss...lacking seeing a food journal, I can only guess.. 1. You aren't following phase 1 food guidelines and keeping your carbs below/at 20 per day 2. You are trying to do Atkins while trying to dull calories at the same time. My suggestion is to re-read the part either contained by the book you have, or the website at www.atkins.com and make sure you are following phase 1 principles..

The same thing happen to me... the first time I was on atkins, I was eating abou 4000 calories a time and lost half a pound a day... the second time I did it the weight loss be slower. They say that going in and out of ketosis will slow down your metabolism as well you shouldb e watching your diet because in that might be something you are eating now taht you didn't eat the second time you were on this diet?
