Ok well, first off i am 13, 5'0 and 86 pounds. I know what the bmi calculator says but i still see and consistency myself as fat! If i aim for 80 pounds, am i still going to be healthy? I have have anorexia/bulimia in the past if this matters. I lately told my Mom that the anorexic voice in my head is gone, and the urge to purge is gone too, and they were, for a while, but immediately both of them are back. I dunno, i really feel fat and i perceive like i HAVE to weigh 80 pounds! So will i be anorexic again if i limit my calories to 1400 (During my really anorexic days i ate between 750-900, but exercised a ton) I don't plan on eating smaller number then 1000 calories because i blacked out alot when i ate around 750-900. If i limit to 1400 and only exercise a bit, will i lose 6 pounds? If i do that, my anorexia won't come pay for will it? And will i lose the weight? I won't be unhealthy, will i? I'm not seeking attention or anything, so please don't be mean within your answer. I am aware that my BMI is low, but i feel like i have no choice but to weigh 80 pounds. Best Answer: I’m glad you realized that the anorexia was damaging your body. The blackouts be probably caused by a severe nutritional deficit in your body. The damage that anorexia can make happen takes time to repair. Since you have battled next to it before, you should talk to your doctor first. That way you can find out exactly where on earth your health is now, and how to get where on earth you want to be. In general 80-86 lbs may be a safe weight for your rise and age. It is on the low end though. Not much, if any, of that is going to be fat. Losing any more may not be appropriate. Closer to 100 lbs would probably be safer. If you do lose more you may end up losing muscle mass, bone density and organ health. Since you’ve had problems near anorexia in the past I would recommend a different path to getting the body you want. Instead of adjectives so many calories, try the following. By the way, your mother will probably be ecstatic. Check out MyPyramid.gov. Use its tools to set up a nutritious diet for yourself. Then use cardio exercise and light weight training. About 20 minutes of either a sunshine. If you are going to exercise you need to make sure that your body has adjectives of the nutrients it needs. Not only enough calories. One finishing word. It does sound like you may still have some of that “anorexic voice” surrounded by your head. You CAN continue to overcome it. If you need assistance, talk to your doctor or psychologist. For your height and age 86 is not fat. Personally i am 5"10 and i weigh give or take a few double your weight, and i know i am not fat. Don't judge your own bulk on women in magazines and on tv, base it on the populace around you, everyone is a different shape and that's what looks good for some people. You need to fix the channel you think about yourself. Have more confidence and positivity. If all you deduce about is fat, that's how you will feel. Based on the information you wrote you particularly are not fat and shouldn't be worried about it. But if you still wanna lose weight loo more into doing it by building muscle instead of in recent times losing fat.
