Will sit ups and Push ups be ample to build more muscle?

Best Answer: It doesn't hurt and anything and everything counts, but if you really want to build muscles, you're going to need to do more than just push up and sit ups...you have to do excercises that target your entire body to even it all out and really work every part of your body (head to toe basically) sit-ups only really target your abdominal...and push ups mostly targets your triceps and your upper back..you have to do other excercises that will do your chest, shoulders, lower vertebrae, and legs as well.if you can get a hold of some weights, they would help like mad and you can use them to tone up your chest, biceps, triceps and shoulders. For legs you can do lunges and squats, again, if you have heavy enough weights/dumbells, you can use them for when you do the lunges. Also, your diet plays a switch factor on buffing up. Check online as well for tips and tricks on how to buff up the right way without have to spend hundreds of dollars on gym memberships. You'd be surprised at what you can find online that gives you ideas on what you can do in the comfort of your own home and lacking thousand dollar equipments!! Good luck!!

The answer to your press is ABSOLUTELY. This is actually what most kids between the age of 12-15 should be doing instead of bench pressing or lifting- although I would lift weights at that age also. Even for adults or any age possible doing sit-ups and push ups are the main channel to build muscle. I remember back in middle school nearby was a kid who was the strongest kid in the conservatory: all he did was pull ups and push ups and some ab workouts. Never lift a weight in his life. I'm not clich¨¦ weights don't help you, but building muscle mass depends HOW you work out, now what you work out WITH. And your trying to buff up! Good job man, but don't forget to intake protein inwardly 15 minutes after your workout: I recommend protein shakes.
