Can a cricketer do gym workouts using weights similar to bench press squat etc?

i am rising cricketer i am crazy about bodybuilding but lot of peoples saying that i have to stop it concentrate on cardio and body weight workouts because bodybuilding affect cricket i am confused please help me

Answers:    man dont listen to ancestors.Start bodybuilding it can change your life.I be also a cricketer once.Now i am a bodybuilder.I dont care about what nation cares.Well since i am on my bulking routine i dont do any cardio.Havent done it in 2 months.I do solidity training for 1-2 hours/week.Thats all you need.If you juicing try to progress atleast 3 hours/day or more.


Try this workout schedule.It is working great for me so far.


Day 1-Shoulder/Triceps

Day 2-Back/2 exe for biceps/Abs

Day 3-off

Day 4-Chest/Abs

Day 5-Legs

Day 6-Biceps/Abs

Day 7-Rest


Cricket is not that much worth it.It dont give you a body that you dream of.Quit it and focus on bodybuilding.Any question email me.
