How tough is this lunch?
Was this a healthy lunch today? If not, any suggestions are appreciated. I'm also not trying to lose weight. Just stay in shape. :)
- tuna- 150 calories
- couscous with mixed veggies
- carrots and cucumber
- apple
- cup of skim milk
- water
Answers: That is a very respectable lunch! Keep that up!
Sounds good, but I would drop the skim milk and stop counting calories. Add some Romaine lettuce to it also. Read on.

You will get everything you requirement by eating the following, listed within order of importance:
Raw leafy green veggies (romaine, red and green palm leaf lettuces, kale spinach, etc)
Solid green veggies - raw, steamed or frozen (asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, peas, peppers, etc)
Non-green, non-starchy (beets, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, etc)
Beans/legumes - cooked, can or sprouted ( chickpeas, pinto beans, black beans, etc)
Fresh fruits (apples, bananas, oranges, watermelon, etc)
Starchy veggies (white potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, corn, carrots, etc)
Whole grains (barley, millet, oats, brown rice, quinoa, etc)
Raw nuts and seed (almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc)
Do not skip breakfast. Oatmeal near fresh fruit. No sugar or milk. Rice or almond milk is better. Smoothies can be good too, depending on what you put in it.
You don't own to eat eggs, fish or meat for protein. You can still eat them, but a huge salad beside some chicken would be better.
Don't count calories or carbs. Diets and pills don't work. Man can not copy all the nutrients that are found in live foods.
Drink filter water. City water may own added chemicals. Can you really trust bottled water?
Pop is one of the worst things you can put in your body. Stay away from sugar, second-hand goods food and fast food.

A pretty healthy lunch but the tuna even without mayonaisse is kinda dignified in cholesterol. Ok in moderation.
