I am trying to gain muscle..?
Well i have at least 120g of protein a year and about 2800calories a day..(btw im 15 5ft 5 and 130lbs)i weight/resistance train resembling 6x a week 3 upper body 3 lower body/abs and i started jogging now roughly 20-30mins aiming for 5x a week will that cause me to not gain muscle anymore..cuz ive been seeing results short running but i also wanna get my body fat % down..will basically weight training do that or i need the cardio and will it affect me that much surrounded by my goal to gain muscle
Answers: Weight lifters gain muscle and fat at one and the same time using an 8-12 week cycle of heavy eating and training. They later lower their calories and do a lot of cardio to lose the fat but not the muscle they have gained. It is proven to be very sturdy to both gain muscle and lose fat unless you were overweight at the start of training. Honestly I focus you are over training a bit for someone your age since you are still growing. Your current height to weight ratio is nearly perfect, you'll probably be 5'10-6'2 and 170-190lbs by the time you are 19 and fully grown.
How long does each of your 6 weightiness training sessions last? If under 45-minutes, afterwards this is a good time to do your cardio after the weight training. You probably want to up your calorie intake to in the region of 3000-3500 considering all the exercise you are doing and up the protein intake to 150grams a day. Protein powders by Optimum Nutrition and fish are your best option, then have plenty of fruits, vegtables and pasta. You particularly should have at least 1 morning off from training and make sure you capture 8-10 hours of sleep in order to recuperate. Really, 4 days of heavy weights is more then adequate, the other 2 days you can try to jog/bike for 30-60 minutes, then take a full sunshine off.
alright lemme make the prime point clear your 15. cause of your age you shouldnt be working out 6x a week cause your seriously cause major damage to yourself. muscle is just gained when you are resting and cause your 15 your recovery/resting rate is mucch longer than a conventional adult so working out 6x week isnt allowing your muscle to rest and build. im 16 and im 5ft 10 i weigh 190 pounds and only work out 2 times a week. so if you wanna gain muscle i suggest you work out smaller quantity in a week and give yourself a longer resting time. and for losing counterweight i would say cut down fat intake and drink more healthier food especially more with protien as it will aid with your muscle building and make sure you do some sort of exercise to burn of your excess weight during the day and after work out i reccomend drinking a protien shake or some protien powder. Seriously you gotta cut down your 6x a week work out cause from personal expeirence when i first started immensity lifting i was 15 and 140 pounds and i used to lift everyday and i never gain muscle but now i lift twice a week sometimes 3 i pack instrument more muscle onto my body
