I really struggle near pull-ups; how can I acquire better on my own?

I can do push-ups and tricep dips no problem, but I cannot even do a single pull-up. I get about 6 inches past its sell-by date of the ground and then can't get any further no situation how much I strain.

I want to become a Royal Navy diver and part of the selection procedure is person able to do 8 pull-ups (overhand), with the arms fully extended respectively time. I have a long way to stir!

I do not have a training buddy, so how can I get better? I've be trying for about a fortnight now but I still cannot muddle through even one.

Thanks!

Why am i short?

Answers:    Use a stool as your spotter, place one foot on the stool and then use it as support to try to pull up. Keep doing that, and next when you feel confident, don't use the stool. After not using the stool, keep practicing, and you'll call a halt up doing 10 in no time.

What you need to do is to strengthen your arm muscles, such as biceps, triceps and the delt.

I have an idea that you only need to focus on your arm training, near weight, so as to increase the capability of your arm to do verbs up.

You can keep doing push up or eight go to gym to train your arm specifically.

Remember, no pain, no gain.

Hope this helps.
