Is it possible to build a ample chest/pecs basically next to press-ups/push-ups?
Basically, if I do loads of press-ups (around 100?), say 5 days a week, would I see a change?
Should I do different variation of push-ups?
And is 100 each day adequate?

Answers: You would be come well toned and beef up some. But you would not become bulky. One of the key concepts to lifting weights (or doing pushups, same thing) is that complex reps with low weight give endurance, and low reps with large weight gives bulk/strength.
You can try the push-ups. I use to do 100 a time. Start off doing 25, then 20, consequently 15. then just as how oodles as I could do before i got tired. Another flux is the incline push-ups (propt your feet up in a chair). These primarily work your shoulders though. And the single other I can think of is Diamond push-ups (press your thumbs and index fingers into a diamond shape and do pushups bringing your nose into the middle). This is primarily a chest and tricept focused pushup.
But similar to I said you can do those and get toned, but to get much bulkier you'll hold to move onto free weights/bench press.
ive nver tried but i would say that press ups arent the best way to build your pecs.
I solely use press ups as a warm up (i do a set of 50 before i start weights to achieve my muslces moving).
you could try doing the press ups really slowly so you can only organize a smaller amount than 100 and see how that goes but to get big you are gonna hold to hit the gym and bench press im afraid.
yes, it is possible but there are other things you can do on top of that to take your results faster. do some bench pressing thats a great thing. also lay on a bench with a dumbell contained by each hand. later have your arms spread out to each side so they are aligned. consequently bring your arms together in the air directly above you talk the weights together. it works great and the ladies love it :D good luck if press ups is all you hold...get a backpack, and a 20kg bag of sand.place sand contained by back pack...the do press ups.
you can work out roughly how much you are pressing through a press up by doing it on a set of scales. its not that much really.
100, 5 days a week...it SHOULD be enough, but you may also entail protein drinks, protein bars, and to eat lots of protein rich foods resembling red meat (lean) and eggs. It depends on how soon you want your large chest by. Absolutely!
