Lifting weights and freight loss?

I know that is takes more activeness to maintain muscle. So does this mean that lifting weights and building muscle could back speed up weight/fat loss as opposed to doing just cardio alone?

Never cut carbs, fat and calories. Eat foods made by nature, not man-made foods designed to make you heavy and addicted to food.
