Allergy Season Question..?
I am taking Claritin, and seemed to work well for several weeks.
Today I was walking effective a park and we had insane winds and gusts and there be wind being blown in my eyes..
Minutes following someone told me my eyes were crazy red..
My concern is that, right now I am having such a rugged time breathing, and it seems like I am breathing through a straw, I try to take open breaths, lots of wheezing, runny nose.
Keep in mind the Claritin has be working well for weeks, but today was the first time so much dust and small leafy debree was blown surrounded by my face..
Am I having a hard time due to what happen today?
Was Claritin (Generic, Loratadime) not enough to block what hit me today?
Runny nose, itchy throat, watery eyes, contant sneezing, shortness of breath - asthma-like.
Thanks.
Star Light, do you hold a background in medicine?
Just wondering, hold you researched hay fever or asthma etc.?
Wondering, thx for the answer.
Best Answer: Well, I can tell you as an allergy/asthma patient that some things are out of your control. Environmental things similar to you've metioned! Even being on maintenance meds/allergy shot I still have flare ups. I don't suppose Clairitin protects against some of that stuff. You're body may have built up a tolerance for it and that's why it's not working now for you. You have need of something stronger. Visine makes an allergy eye drop that works wonders for me. It protects against the things you've mentioned. I also use albuterol fast acting inhaler. It opens up my hall ways in a hurry. Epipen is used for emergency cases due to allergic reaction. If you haven't been tested for allergies and the otc med. isn't working you may want to gross an appt. If it becomes too bothersome I'd walk into your pcp ( primary care physician) and inform them you're having difficulty breathing. Sometimes if it gets really bad I return with chest pains from it. Depending on the severity of your case an er visit may be better. I wish you the best of luck sometimes it's in recent times a one time thing and a breathing treatment may be needed and all will be ok in a few days. I wouldn't mess around too long since getting checked out. You can never be too careful when it comes to your health. I've had allergies capture so bad it caused an asthma attack. That wasn't fun at all.
Answer: Yes, you probably encounter something today that the claritin couldn't take care of. See how you feel after the subsequent day or so. It should calm down, back to the path it was.
First of all let me touch on the reality that if you're having problems breathing, this can necessitate an emergent case. If you're feeling similar to you're having a hard time breathing as a result of an asthma case, consequently you would need to visit your local emergency room, as they have something call salbuterol, and albuterol, and these help with inhalation. They put them in a inhalation device so that you're competent to take deep breaths and get your lungs clear. Second of adjectives, I would go to your family doctor either tomorrow, or on the weekend or hasty next week, and request the s/he will send you to an allergist to discuss about the issues that you're have. They will probably prescribe either flonase which is a corticosteroid that helps with breathing and hole up the sinuses, or something like ventolin and sabulterol and that should help you with your breathing during different times. Good luck!

use citriziens and kortonI may be lactose intolerant and wondering something...
If the Lortadime have stopped working then you may also have a bronchitis on top of the allergies...which is terrifically common. You need to seek the proposal of you GP or family Dr. I don't know if you have a history of asthma or bronchitis or just allergies, but profusely of times they will start you on either a med-pak of steroids or prednisone to get you through the "bad times" of allergies. And, yes, I do own medical training. I am currently in my residency for Psychology. You do not want to end up having be contained by the ER because either you throat swells up and you cannot breath or you lungs start to have fluid in them (which can head to pneumonia). Seek the help of a GP or your family Dr. Peace, Love & HappinessBlood Pressure is 175/75 should Seek Emergency Medical...
Please check with your Doctor, sure it is nice to grasp info from others but just to be on the safe side.Related Questions...
