sore throat, no other symptoms?
I have had a sore throat with no other symptoms. No post-nasal drip, no cold or cough or frenzy. My tonsils look a little swollen. It has been 2 days. Whats going on?
Best Answer: Have you ever hear of tonsil stones? They are a common cause of a sore throat without other symptoms suggesting infection. Because your tonsils have so many nooks and crannies, it's confident for bacteria to get stuck and solidify. Sometimes you can see or feel them surrounded by your tonsils. They look like little whitish grey or brown chunks stuck in your tonsils. They cause swelling, flush and irritation - resulting in a very sore throat. They also cause bleak breath. If you find these upon closer examination of your throat, all you have to do is remove them. You can do this by "first showing and closing" your throat muscles, gargling with salt marine (which will help with the bad breath that they cause) or by using a dulled but slightly pointed raise objections to put pressure next to them and individually poke them out.
