Hypotension(low blood pressure) from blood pressure meds.?
First of all I want to say a little bit something like my situation. I got a therapy because of High blood pressure that was 180/110 (and I'm 23). Therapy is following:
Sotalol 2 a morning 40mg (morning and night)
Enalaprilum 2 a day 10 mg (morning and night)
Lacipidin(diuretic) at 3PM
My blood pressure is now usually 120 or lower / and mostly systolic pressure is 60 (or lower). So I have sometimes symptoms of need more air, and dizzines, feeling like I'm out of space? So my doctor told me to lift less 5 mg of Enalaprilium medicine. WIll this correct my pressure?
Is it normal to perceive need of more air and those symptoms due to hypotension?
Thanks!
Best Answer: hypotension is a decrease surrounded by the supply of blood to the brain and organs. when the brain doesn't get enough blood (oxygen, glucose, etc), you can feel lighting headed, dizzy, like you can't breathe very ably, shaky, start to lose hearing or vision and faint. hypotension, while not just the thing, is not as perilous as hypertension. if blood pressure is too low, you faint, which corrects the problem by restoring the head to heart level (ie lay flat). taking less medication as the doctor suggested will fix the problem, as the dosage is now corrected (before it was too much).
