I hold an itchy blemish on my leg that won't move about away...?
About 4 months ago I was in bed watching tv when I got an itch on my shin, going on for ten inches below my knee. I had a good gash with my heel, whilst wearing socks. It was one of those scratches that feel great so I suppose it went on too long, maybe 6-10seconds. I thought nothing more of it and go to asleep. The next morning I saw that I had broken the skin in in the region of a 4 inch line and there was scabs on my leg. For the subsequent few days I put cream on the mark but nothing was helping.
Now 4 months after that it is still itchy, there's big long scratches where the would was and the full area is red. There is a red oblong scar about 2 inches long by around an inch across.
What on earth would this be?
