its 2cm and its gone swollen and looks as if its bleeding inside , does anyone have any knowledge what this could be , he have bin the doctors and they have referred him to a plastic surgeon but they still haven't told us what it is so its really worrying me , please only serious answers
Best Answer: There are a couple of possibilities but without seeing it, it's unfeasible to answer you properly. Things like it's colour, size, texture, how fast it has grown, whether it become inflamed and then regresses or not, etc etc etc It sounds like a simple sebaceous cyst (most likely). They have a 'bag' around the sebaceous contents and adjectives the bag must be removed to prevent recurrence. If done well that's usually the fall of it. Much less likely that it is a skin cancer, most of which also are usually removed adequately and never bother you again. There are singular a few other way less common things it may be. Of course the best article you could do is phone the doctor that gave you the referral and ask him/her. S/he should have given you the diagnosis while you were near.
