Help beside ezcema.How to stop the itching?
My 5 year old son has has ezcema since birth. We give been prescribed all sorts of creams but they dont stop him from scratching especially at dark when he is asleep. They soothe the ezcema and help with the skin inflammation. We have to renovation the sheets very regularly due to blood on them at its really heartbreaking as we have tried all we can...any suggestions? We are already seeing a skin specialist and the creams serve with the condition but do not help at night?
Best Answer: I too own the dreaded condition and i'm now approaching my 38th birthday .I had it real discouraging as a child and was assured by my Dr that i'd " grow out of it " .well here i am all those years following still suffering from the blasted thing .May i suggest you try eliminating Dairy from the boys diet , this has be established as being one of the major culprits in infantile eczema .. try soy or goats milk instead ( i know goats milk is still a dairy product but the cows milk is apparently smaller quantity well tolerated by the human intestines ) .You don't say which country your in but here within the UK you can buy a lotion from Boots Pharmacy that's called " Calming Lotion " .. its a blend of Aloe Vera and Calamine and is great for treating the itch of the condition .Hope this helps .. good luck and best wishes to the wee fella .
