Best Answer: she said keratosis pilaris not solar ... and sorry the first personage is also right there is nothing you can really do to make it budge away, ive had it forever and i hate it! the only piece i find that helps is sulfur soap/salicylic acid.. in moderation, getting a sun suntan helps dry the bumps up a bit.. and bio oil to help beside the scars from trying to pick them off :(

Tiny, black bumps PLEASE HELP!?

It is treatable, at least temporarily. The Mayo clinic website is a good resource for information: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/keratosis-pilaris/DS00769 This page shows that there are medication that work at least temporarily but they are prescription: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/keratosis-pilaris/DS00769/DSECTION=treatments-and-drugs The Mayo website offers the following home remedies: Be gentle when wash your skin. Vigorous scrubbing or removal of the plugs may only irritate your skin and aggravate the condition. After washing or bathing, benevolently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on the skin. Apply a moisturizing lotion or lubricating cream while your skin is still moist from bathing. Choose a moisturizer that contains urea or propylene glycol, chemicals that soften dry, rough skin. Apply an over-the-counter product that contains lactic acid twice on a daily basis. Lactic acid helps remove extra keratin from the surface of the skin. (I suggest going to the pharmacy/chemist and asking them to show you moisturizers that contain urea or propylene glycol or lactic acid, otherwise you'll be standing around reading label forever) Mayo also offers the following advice, for example trying Eucerin or Cetaphil: Moisturize your skin. Moisturizers provide a seal over your skin to maintain water from escaping. Thicker moisturizers work best, such as over-the-counter brands Eucerin and Cetaphil. Use warm water and constraint bath time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your hip bath or shower time to about 15 minutes or less, and use warm, a bit than hot, water. Avoid harsh, drying soaps. Choose mild soaps that have added oil and fats, such as Neutrogena, Basis or Dove. Avoid deodorant and antibacterial detergents, which are especially harsh. You might want to experiment with several brands until you find one that works in particular well for you. A good rule of thumb is that your skin should feel soft and smooth after cleansing, never tight or dry. Pat dry. After wash or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on the skin. Immediately moisturize your skin with an grease or cream. Good Luck! :)
