what are the signs of parvo?
I had a dog he was 1 year 2 months old.we get him when he was 4 months old we bought him at a flea market and never asked the owners if they given shots to the puppy. I know we didn't impart him shots. A week 1 day before the memorial weekend my dog got sick and have diarahea sorry bad speller..anyway but he didn't have blood in stools or vomit and I couldn't obtain him to eat or drink water I took him to the vet a day and partly later and he told us that in order to the test it would cost 1,000 dollars before he even gets his medications so I took the meds and they give him iv of fluids and a shot of antibotics and some other shots..they told me I couldn't feed him til the next day mortal a sunday we went out of town and later in morning I give him his medication and than his liquid medication and used his dropper to give him water and the second drop of dampen he starts to swallow and later when I went to go check on him I said "JABONE!!" and he died on me..we terminated up burrying him in our backyard..PLEASE DOG LOVERS HELP EXPLAIN TO me what the signs of parvo since I get different people recitation me he's got to barf blood or blood in his stools I believe he didn't have parvo I believe he get poisoned some how maybe in our yard my bf's boss say it could be he could've drank anti freeze I don't.just need some knowledge never have dog die like that in my life I hold had 4 different dogs in my childhood and this was the first dog I own had as an adult

My puppy have parvo, and she didn't. It just depends on the dog and how sick the animal is. There are also several types of the parvo virus. Your dog sounds like he had the intestinal form of parvo. It's worthy that you took your dog to the vet and that they pumped him with fluids, but you probably should have taken him back for that treatment multiple times. We have to take my puppy back the vet two times a day for two days and that help her get better. It's all about keeping the dog hydrated. If you resolve to get another dog and it contracts the virus, you can also treat him at home. A woman I know used chicken broth and gatorade to nurse a whole litter of puppies with parvo subsidise to health. I think it's easier to just run it to the vet though, they can inject fluids so that the dog won't throw them up. Your puppy probably contracted parvo from wherever he was before you get him. That's what happened to my puppy, because there's no way she would have gotten it at my house. It is also possible that your puppy have another disease that could be confused with parvo.
