How to make disappear my insulin pump?
i really dont want people to find out that i have type 1 diabetes but i have to wear an insulin pump on my waist so i dont own to take shots.Are there certain pumps that are not enormously visable or is there nothing i can do?
P.S. Im 14 and in highschool.
Best Answer: My friend puts it surrounded by her pocket. I don't know if that would work for you. She also sometimes has a thing that looks like a cell phone casing that she puts it in. :) You could try a purse, or bag or something. But really, nobody is going to care! Don't hide it! I wear mine clipped to the waist of my pants, shorts or skirts and generate no attempt to conceal it. My pump is a part of me...like my pancreas used to be. I don't draw attention to it but I don't hide it any. Don't be ashamed of having diabetes or embarrassed by the pump. If someone asks what the pump is, tell them. ok i had the pump all through middle school and high-ranking school and i kept it on my belt loop. it was always noticable though and thats not a fruitless thing either cuz people should know you are a diabetic. its nil to be ashamed of hun!! you will be ok, no one will comment about it but you will get plenty of question on how it works, even guys think they look cool lol needless to say i stopped the pump usage when it land me in the hospital due to pinched tubing.and a pricey hospital bill. just make sure the tubing is coiled so you don't hook t on anything, we adjectives know that hurts getting it ripped out. god luck!!Related Questions...
