Medicare, Under what circumstances ?

What circumstances can I get medicare at age 62 ? My employer is forcing me out.
Best Answer: Medicare is available when you retire, at age 65 (currently) and/or if you are permanently disabled. For disability you have to hold your doc certify you as being unable to work.NO work. If you can do a desk job, but not instruction book labor you will not qualify. Not sure about now, but the rule has other been that you have to have be unable to work at all for at least 2 full years. This may hold changed, however, so speak with your doc and possibly a lawyer. Being unable to find a livelihood is not enough. You must be unable to work. If you have chronic diseases, even if they are honourably severe, you may not qualify. A friend of mine has severe heart and lung disease, but still is considered employable. Kidney disease, if you are on a donor list, is an automatic approval.other than that, it's tough to procure.
