what is going on beside my skin?
i was sick with a bad cold in the order of 3 weeks..it lasted about 3 weeks. after blowing my nose so much i get a small split in my right nostril. i think i may have touched it slightly and the skin around it peel..a few layers of new (not dry) skin. a couple days later it have spread down to my upper lip..just basically raw, crumbling skin. i thought this was due to my cold. then i had a small cut on my finger, the skin around it blistered and peel. the same thing has happen with small pimples on my face..if i touch them, they blister around it in a circle and the skin peel (again not dry skin..new healthy(?) skin) any ideas what this could be? it's not itchy so i don't think it's impetego.
Best Answer: It does nouns like a staph infection. Staph live on the skin in many population and all it takes is a little breakdown surrounded by the skin - as you got with the cold - to allow it to get a grip. You may economically need some antibiotics to get rid of it.
