Dr have said my fiance have a protein surrounded by his urine. should he be worried?

he's freaking out a little. I have protein in my urine but I'm told its kinda commonplace with a diabetic. i've had that explained to me. He only have AD/HD and epilepsy can u tell me anything to reassure him that its not as bad as it sounds
Best Answer: My ex had this problem also. It can be cause by him simply not drinking enough water on a daily starting place. It can also happen to people who exercise frequently or have a lofty amount of muscle mass. The guy I knew who had this, never had any problems next to it (still doesn't). So I would say your fiance needn't worry. :-)

Stomach hurts after every meal/drink, something other hurts?

It really depends. If the doctor doesn't seem worried don't verbs about it or ask the doctor should you be concerned. Protein in the urine is a warning sign. It may indicate kidney defile or disease or it may be a transient elevation due to an infection, medication, vigorous exercise, or emotional or physical stress. In some people, it may be present during the sunshine and absent at night when the patient is lying down (orthostatic proteinuria). In pregnant women, elevated urine protein level can be associated with pre-eclampsia. When kidney damage is present, the amount of protein present is generally associated near the severity of damage, and increasing amounts of protein over time indicate increasing damage and decreasing kidney function. Proteinuria is associated with various diseases and conditions, including: # Amyloidosis # Bladder cancer # Congestive heart failure # Diabetes # Drug therapies that are potentially toxic to the kidneys # Glomerulonephritis # Goodpasture’s syndrome # Heavy metal poisoning # Hypertension # Kidney infection # Multiple myeloma # Polycystic kidney disease # Systemic lupus erythematosus # Urinary tract infection Good Luck!

To add to what peaches said... Protein can also show up contained by the urine of athletic people sometimes - it may be there as a result of a strenuous workout. Is your fiance athletic? Here's an exert from the below link: "Protein is customarily not found in the urine. Fever, hard exercise, and some diseases, especially kidney disease, may cause protein to be surrounded by the urine." Also, track this result... it there's consistently protein showing up in the urine, then I'd be concerned. Certain epilepsy meds might contribute to protein in the urine. Is your fiance on Tegretol or Zarontin ? Sometimes, simply varying the meds will alleviate the protein problem. Here's an exert from a zarontin website: "The protein content of your urine may change, you will not be aware of this, but your doctor may test a sample of urine." If the doctor didn't verbs into it more, then I wouldn't be worried.
