Chest dull pain after vomit..?
Ok so my Mom ate later than she usually does and had no problem. Then she woke up in the middle of the darkness and vomitted. She keeps saying she has a cramp in the middle of her chest that goes to her back. The spasm is consistent and has gone on for a day long so far.
Anyone have any philosophy as to what it is?
also has a hard time passing down solid foods and soft drinks resembling Sprite.

also had a few tests done a few weeks ago and her blood come out abnormal so they still need to do a follow up check up. i don't want to scare her even more because her nursing duty doesn't offer insurance..and well she's screwed.
Best Answer: She probably just strained a muscle surrounded by her chest while being sick- if it doesn't get any better in another time or so she should see a doctor, but it is probably nothing to worry about unless the headache is debilitating. I really really doubt it's a heart attack as the other poster said- not being able to swallow solid food or a carbonated drink close to spirte just tells of irritation in the oesophagus, not a heart attack. Try to sip cool, still, drinks and sort sure she chews her food very well. But really, a heart attack is not likely.
Just adjectives sense, obviously only she knows how severe the throbbing is and whether it merits medical care.

I am not aphorism this is the case, but you need to go to an ER NOW. I realize it's the middle of the hours of darkness, but you'll get right back if you complain of chest pain, I guarantee it. GET OFF THE INTERNET AND GO TO THE ER NOW!! Edited to give: Some women experience very mild symptoms to the point of not even being aware anything at all is occurring with heart attacks.. ALSO, vomiting and back pain are classic signs of an MI contained by women. Please go to the ER to be on the safe side. Hopefully it is nothing. But it's better to budge and come home fine.
